Woweee🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY MITRE 10 You are awesome. Thanks from millions in NZ. 🎂🧡❤️🧡❤️🧡❤️

how much cement was that per each leg !? 40x40x50 cm ? that's about 100kg based on an online calculator for cement! do you really need that much weight? i mean do you need 400kg of cement to keep this from flying away? equals to 4-5 full-grown men 😅
The pergola posts are securely anchored and will withstand the test of time and environmental conditions. Properly anchoring posts with sufficient cement is crucial for the stability and durability of outdoor structures like pergolas. ^Cam
Oh my. I just bought a shade sale and I don't think I can do all this work so I guess I'll be sending it back because where I live you can't get anybody to do anyway work. Good video!
Hiii can we install hand held bidet washer to toilets?
How did he cut out the notches on the wall horizontal wall plate?
The video title is underfloor insulation and he is doing the ceiling. Is the ceiling called floor in NZ.
This is the floor to the second story of the house! ^Cam
If you can't find the fancy screws, would deck screws and a bit of silicone work to screw it through the channels instead of the ridges?
I always thought you attach this corrugated material on the flat that’s touching underneath not on top of loop 🤔
It's always interesting to learn the different names used in other lands. What we in the States call "carriage bolts" apparently are "code screws" unless I'm hearing it wrong.
a carriage bolt uses a washer and nut. I think you mean a "lag screw" ?
Nice segway at the end LOL
Love the constant 'righty O'. Hopefully that's all I'll be saying on my own project.
Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly for you! ^Rhi
Why is the outlet so high up the tank? That looks like a big chunk of unpumpable water. Wouldn't 100mm from the bottom be ok? Especially for a garden pump where it doesn't matter if sediments are pumped...
Looks amazing...thank you so much 😍 ❤
Only one nail on either side of the joist ? Also what’s the spacing for the 2x2 slats ?
Kia ora. That will depend on the dimensions of your pergola. If you need specific help figuring out your project the knowledgeable team down at your local Mitre 10 will be happy to help. ^Rhi
So that eye hook is just screwed into the wood of the rafter?
now thats a furgen pergola
Were you in the lord of the rings?
That would have been awesome, but nope! ^Cam
All that work to put shade on 20% of his back door 😂
Came to comments , to check the man-splaining critiques, to see if there was some improvement potential. Nothing!! (That's rare.)This is great. Very straight forward video. Thanks, Mate! (Mite? -NZ))
We'll take that positive feedback! Cheers, mate. ^Rhi
Superb video, very clear precise instructions, how toos and why we dos, matched with skill and precision workmanship and as if thats not enough very well filmed too. Bravo that man
Glad it was helpful, Steve! Thanks for the awesome feedback. ^Rhi
Love the video! I want to build my own bathroom essentially by simply building a four frame wall fixed together and celiing. I'll let the plumber fit the shower, basin and toilet but as long as can build a nice small space that can comfortibly contain these admendities that would be great. I assume I can use the same princaples as your videos and take into account I am using siding that is water resistant. Any suggestions?
Kia ora. We'd recommend heading into your local store and having a chat with the knowledgeable team there, they'll be able to help you with any questions and help you find the right products, too. ^Rhi
I have to replace a deck board that runs underneath the rail post. I have been wondering about this type of patch. A couple of contractors told me that attaching those additional supports to the joist is not structurally sound and unsafe. Can you expound on this please?
Hey, you'd be best to head into your local M10 store and have a chat with the knowledgeable team there, they'll be able to help you with any questions and help you find the right products, too. ^Rhi
But aren't you with the store
sending mine back didn't do anything
Is there a list of materials somewhere
Kia ora, you can find more details on this build and materials required on our website here: www.mitre10.co.nz/guides-and-advice/guide/how-to-build-a-sandpit?inStockNationwide=false&inStockSelectedStore=false&sort=RELEVANCY ^Cam
I love it, but no way I can do this! 🤪 plus my fence has garden beds next to it for another 60-70cm and then it’s concrete, so step one and I’m lost 😭😭😭😭
We believe in you!! ^Cam
I'm thinking of building one like this so that i can put solar panels on it rather than my shed/radio shack. The problem is where i want to put it, i cant dig down because of the easement. It would somehow need to be moveable. Would I be able to use those raised concrete bases and level them out?
It's definitely possible, but can be less sturdy compared! ^Cam
Very good explained! Just did not see how to use D shackles?
If you click through to the guide in the description box, you'll find more information about choosing and using different types of fixings to attach your shade sail. ^Rhi
Great instructions, but looks the person present the steps don’t want people to follow, always shaking each parts (don’t want to present clear tools)😂
Thanks for the feedback, we'll pass this on to the team. ^Rhi
What's the dimensions of the timbers that are used?
Kia ora Daniel, the lengths will depend on your measurements for your own project. You can read more about the process here: www.mitre10.co.nz/guides-and-advice/guide/how-to-build-timber-wall-framing ^Rhi
The only problem for me is that the wood of my roof is not really strong and I have strong wind. I can’t fix it. 😢
Awesome work Bruce!!! That was one Hell of a detailed explanation, well done!!! It was as good as seeing your worst enemy ambushed by a couple of angry Juvenile Joey's in the bush. Gday Mate!!! Randy Chavez USA
Glad you enjoyed it Randel, what a comparison! ^Cam
1:50 10:50
Excellent.
Can we get some English sub titles please.
Kia ora, there are closed captions available, you'll just need to turn them on. ^Rhi
Thanks for being DIY. Help 👍 😮Great
Hot tips: use mold- resistant silicone. Make the joints wide enough that stuff can move a little without ripping the silicone off one of the surfaces.
Handy hints! ^Rhi
Literally no shade given the way it's done 😂
Could this same process be used to create noise control in mid floor? Thanks
Hey Stuart, you'd be best to pop into your local store and have a chat with the team about this one. They'll be able to offer some advice about how best to get that done. ^Rhi
Thank you
Just use black tar
When he said deck, it sounds like 🍆🧐👀👀👀
Bitte verwenden Sie keine Torfhaltigen Produkte! die Moore sind weltweit bedroht und sind zentral für das Klima (Sauerstoff Produktion und speichern von Co2).
I wish I had this chap's skill and knowledge...
I really enjoyed watching your video very interesting as I'm building a deck at the moment myself for my dads house, I noticed that you put your posts straight in the post holes. In Australia the BCA requirements are that the posts must sit on anchors due to climate that may damage the timber however I just put them straight in with concrete just like you did because I realised it much stronger is there anything you can say about that. Thanks in advance friend
Hey there - we'd recommend having a chat to the team at your local hardware store - they'll be able to give you more specific advice and have local knowledge of requirements in your country.
